5/11/2008 - The University of Tulsa has accomplished another first in 2008. The Golden Hurricane has earned its first-ever at-large bid to the 64-team field. Tulsa will play Arkansas at 5 p.m. on Friday, May 16, at the OU Softball Complex in Norman. Read Full Release

Senior Ashley Perez set a Conference USA record with six runs batted in and tied another with a pair of homeruns as the sixth-seeded UTEP Miners upset the third-seeded Golden Hurricane, 8-4. Tulsa concludes the season with a 34-23 record with UTEP advancing with a 30-23 record on the season. Full Story

On the eve of the 2008 Conference USA Championship, four softball players from The University of Tulsa were named to All-C-USA squads. Two others were named to the All-Freshman Team and one more were named to the all-academic team. Full Story

On Senior Day, The University of Tulsa softball team sent its two seniors out in style with an 8-0, five-inning run-rule victory over Memphis at the Donna J. Hardesty Sports Complex. The University of Tulsa wrapped up the No. 3 seed for next week's Conference USA Championship with a doubleheader sweep of the Memphis Tigers. Tulsa won the first game 7-4 before run-ruling the Tigers in the nightcap, 10-0 in five innings. Full Story
